5. Editorial and Ethical Standards

JPIW is committed to the highest standards of intellectual honesty and ethical scholarship.

Peer Review Process

JPIW utilizes a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process for all Research Articles, Case Studies, and Applied Essays. The identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed from one another throughout the review period. Each submitted article is reviewed by a minimum of two independent, qualified experts.

Core Ethical Mandates

Submissions must demonstrate:$$\text{Clear reasoning} \land \text{Evidence-based claims} \land \text{Practical insight}$$

  • Clear Reasoning: Structured argument and logical flow.
  • Evidence-Based Claims: Supported by data, scholarly sources, or strong case evidence.
  • Ethical Tone: Displaying intellectual humility and respect for counterpoints.
  • Practical Insight: Direct relevance to improving real-world decisions and outcomes.

Grounds for Immediate Rejection

We do not accept submissions containing:

  • Ideological propaganda or culture-war rhetoric.
  • Personal attacks or sensationalism.
  • Unsupported claims or unverifiable anecdotes.
  • Plagiarism or undisclosed self-plagiarism.

Originality, Plagiarism, and AI Use Policy

All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not currently under review elsewhere.

  1. Originality Screening: All submissions undergo comprehensive originality verification using Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate) prior to peer review. The editorial team evaluates flagged overlaps on a case-by-case basis; a high percentage is an indicator, not an automatic rejection.
  2. AI Use Disclosure: We recognize AI tools may assist drafting or editing, but the submission must represent original human reasoning and authorship. If AI is used in the creation or editing of the text, a one-sentence disclosure is mandatory:Example: “AI tools were used for grammar assistance and clarity. All ideas and arguments are original.”
  3. Breach: Text generated or heavily altered by AI or automated paraphrasing tools without explicit disclosure will be treated as a breach of originality and ethical conduct.

6. Review and Decision Process

We aim to provide a constructive and highly timely review, recognizing the importance of speed to our authors.
